Synopsis
A couple of years ago her interest for Karl Marx brought Münevver almost behind Turkish prison walls. She found a new home in Germany which was not meant to last long. Ruhan grew up in Ingolstadt, was professionally successful as a machine fitter and travelled all around the world as an insurance manager. In his mid-thirties then the move to Turkey. Today he runs a bakery in Izmir. He kept his love for Germany but gave back his German passport. Emine was born in Yugoslavia. As a child she migrates with her family to Turkey and had to try her luck again in a new country when she was a teen. She lived in Baden-Baden for more than 40 years, now in the retirement age she followed the call back home and moved to Turkey. Necip was born in Düsseldorf and grew up with a German mother and a Turkish father. When his father decided to return back to Turkey it meant for the 13-year-old Necip to give up his German home for an uncertain future in the home country of his father. The 33-year-old Berliner Derya has a dual citizenship and therefore the luxury to choose where she wants to live. In October she decided to move to Izmir. "I'll give it a try." she says.
